Statement lifebuoy earrings hand carved from Surfite.
These earrings remind me so much of the bright beach huts you see in North Norfolk. Making these earrings the perfect piece of jewellery to remind you of sunny days at the beach. The red and pink stripes are complemented by subtle flashes of green, blue, orange and yellow; whilst the clear sections give them a lovely watery feel.
These large lifebuoy earrings are hand carved from waste resin. - known as Surfite. Produced during the manufacture of surfboards in Scotland by Jason Burnett of @jaysurfboards.
The resin discs have been hand carved so that they taper to a thin edge on the outside and a chunky middle to add dimension to the shapes as well as making them lighter in weight. Tiny Sterling Silver tubes have been inserted into the holes where the ear wires hang to add strength and detail. Whilst the contemporary style ear wires have long hooks at the back to help stop the earrings being knocked out.
The Lifebuoy design was inspired by my feelings during the Covid-19 lockdown and the need to bring colour and cheer into our lives whilst also recognising that its ok to reach out and ask for help. So ‘Be brave and Make Waves’.
Dimensions of earrings - Total drop from ear - 5cm - Lifebuoy - 3.5 cm diameter

Care Instructions: When the earrings need a clean use hot soapy water and a soft bristle brush (e.g. Toothbrush). A soft polishing cloth can also be used. As with all Silver jewellery keep them away from perfume, sunscreen and other solvents. Where possible keep the earrings in their box to help reduce tarnishing and scratching of the resin when not being worn.
