Possibly the most popular Surfite I have ever worked with, is this gorgeous marbled green and white piece. The swirls are reminiscent of the moving fronds of Sea Kelp. There is a real depth to this piece and you almost feel like you are looking down through the Kelp forest. I have hand carved the Surfite into a gently domed cabochon before setting it in a chunky fine silver setting with a matt finish. The soft matt finish of the silver gives it a whiter look which really makes the Surfite pop. The back of the setting is open to create a port-hole/window into the hidden side of the Surfite. Sitting alongside is a Sterling Silver shell cast from a real shell found whilst exploring the British coastline. On the other side of the Surfite there is a white cultured Pearl.
Chunky diamond cut chain 0.9 mm thick. Necklace Length 45.72 cm (18”)/ total pendant drop 5.6 cm/Surfite 1.4cm/ shell 0.8 cm/pearl 0.8 cm.
Fully hallmarked by the Sheffield Assay Office.
''Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean." Ryunosuke Satoro
Each piece in the Ocean Droplet collection is inspired by the above words of wisdom. However small a drop in the ocean you may feel it is together that we can change things, whether that's in the battle against Covid or environmental pollution; together we are a force.
Comes presented in one of my branded boxes which are FSC certified.
Care Instructions: When the necklace needs a clean use hot soapy water and a soft bristle brush (e.g. Toothbrush). A soft polishing cloth can also be used. As with all Silver jewellery keep them away from perfume, sunscreen and other solvents. Where possible keep the necklace in the box to help reduce tarnishing and scratching of the resin when not being worn.
