Ever wondered what jewellery a mermaid would wear?
I always imagined they would adorn themselves in shells and starfish. This necklace is inspired by Cornish and Welsh folklore about the maidens of the sea.
This charm necklace features a beautiful blue, white and green swirled cabochon of Surfite which has been hand carved and set into Sterling Silver. Nestled either side are solid Sterling Silver Starfish and Cockle Shell. Each cast from ones found along the British coastline. The charms have been interspersed with little Sterling Silver squiggles to allow the charms to sit neatly alongside each other when on the neck.
Details: The necklace is fully hallmarked and you can find the marks on the underside of the shell.
The shell measures 1.5 cm and has a drop of 2 cm from the chain.
The Starfish measures just under 2 cm and has a total drop length of 2.5 cm; whilst the Surfite charm is 1.6cm wide and has a total drop length of 3cm.
They come displayed on a 45 cm Sterling Silver snake chain with a handmade s-clasp fastening.
Postage: All orders to the UK have a flat shipping rate of £2. Each piece of jewellery is sent in a recycled cardboard gift box .
When the necklace needs a clean use hot soapy water and a soft bristle brush (e.g., Toothbrush). A soft polishing cloth can also be used. As with all Silver jewellery keep them away from perfume, sunscreen and other solvents. Where possible keep the necklace in the box to help reduce tarnishing and scratching of the resin when not being worn.
