These mini lifebuoy earrings are hand carved from surplus resin. Produced during the manufacture of surfboards in Scotland by Jason Burnett of @jaysurfboards. This particular type of surfite is created by pouring remenants of liquid resin left over from glassing one board and is poured into a pot all out the sametime rather than in layers. To find out more about the process of repurposing the Surfite head of to the ‘Story of Surfite’ to find out more.
These funky hinged hoop earrings come with these marble like Surfite lifebuoys. The Surifte can easily be threaded off the hoop so you can choose which colour way you want to show. So mix them up or match it is your choice!
The hoops themselves are made from Sterling Silver and have a hammered/polished finish to them.
Dimensions: Hoop 3cm in diamter - Surfite disc is 1.7 cm across.
Come presented in one of my branded boxes.
Care Instructions: When the earrings need a clean use hot soapy water and a soft bristle brush (e.g. Toothbrush). A soft polishing cloth can also be used. As with all Silver jewellery keep them away from perfume, sunscreen and other solvents. Where possible keep the earrings in their box to help reduce tarnishing and scratching of the resin when not being worn.
